The inability to easily locate an email for any staff for any client can lead to frustration, lost time and general inefficiency. Emails are usually the primary medium for business-to-business communication, but usually there is an almost non-existent filing mechanism. In this age, such poor efficiency is both unnecessary and potentially quite damaging.

Email communications include both messages and attachments, both of which may need to be located and retrieved, quickly and easily, by either the same person or by other staff members in the team.

To solve this problem, some organisations use sub-folders within personal Outlooks, or copy to a public Outlook folder; or even manually copy message files and attachments to project folders in Explore. These tend to involve a high degree of manual intervention, with the result that filing either does not happen, or is unduly cumbersome, frustrating and time-consuming.

The Purpose of Amber-EMS is to simplify and automate the filing of emails and attachments to either project or contact folders.

It builds an Email History, by either project or contact. Each member of the team then has visibility on the full chronological history of emails and attachments.
